My good friend, Kelli, and I were so blessed to go through our pregnancies at the same time. Then, we had our sweet baby girls only 3 days apart! Kelli did such a wonderful job on her blog showing the girls together from the beginning that I think you should see, too.

July 4th Weekend

Sorry it has been so long since the last post. There really hasn't been too much excitement at the Staab household. The summer is flying by though, and we are having so much fun as a family of three. Lillian is 7 months now and is getting quite the little personality.

We had a pretty busy Fourth of July weekend. On Saturday, Lillian met some of Molly's extended family at her aunt and uncle's beautiful mountain house in Lake Lure. Lillian did the best she could (under the circumstances) and was really happy to meet some of her new relatives.






Then, on Sunday, we went to our friends Francesca and Kevin's baptism of their daughter, Amelia. We couldn't help but take a few good pics of Lillian in her Sunday dress. Lillian learned a great deal from Amelia's baptism during her "wrestling match" with Daddy-namely, how to cry throughout the baptism until you are rescued into the welcoming arms of your parents. In fact, she did a little crying on her own (note the eyes in the first picture).

Memorial Day!

We took our first road trip as a family of three over Memorial Day weekend. We traveled to Hilton Head to visit Matt's parents for a few days. Lillian did absolutely wonderful in her new surroundings, although the beach didn't go so well. We will have to try that again when she is a little older. The pool, on the other hand, we consider a success!

Fun times with friends

We were so excited to have a visit from my dearest friend Sara and her little girl this week. Sara and I are best friends from Furman and we have tried our best to see one another as often as possible. It can be a little challenging because she lives in Orlando. i was so thankful that she was able to fly up here with her daughter this week to meet Lillian for the first time. We had such a good time catching up and watching the girls get to know each other. We look forward to the days when they are older and can be friends. It was a little hectic planning activities around naps and feedings, but it was well worth it! Thanks for coming, Sara!

Trip to the zoo

For Mother's Day weekend, we decided it would be nice to have a family outing. It was a beautiful day so we went to the zoo in our town. Lillian was just as interested in the trees and people as the animals, but overall it was a successful venture!
